News trading is allowed on all challenge accounts and on Pro and Instant funded accounts. You may trade before, during, and after high-impact economic events (NFP, CPI,
FOMC, etc.).
However, your overall profits must come from a genuine, consistent trading strategy. If your trading pattern shows that the majority of your gains come exclusively from loading maximum size during news events with no stop-loss — a "casino-style" approach — this will be flagged and may result in payout refusal or account review.
Exception — Zero funded accounts: trading during high-impact announcements (red-folder events on ForexFactory, 3 stars on Investing.com) is not allowed. You must be flat from 60 seconds before to 60 seconds after the release. Violations are detected automatically and notified by email, and profits from trades held inside the window are removed; repeated violations can lead to account closure and a ban.
In short: Trading news is fine. Gambling on news with no risk management is not.
